The Goal: The World’s Lowest-Emission Aluminium Profile

Sustainability is an integral part of everything we do. It covers actions related to the environment, the economy and social issues. These principles have guided us from the very beginning.

For us, sustainability is not just a word; it manifests in daily, concrete actions that make it a reality – every day. We aim for carbon neutrality by the end of 2025 in our own production and internal logistics.

All our products are available with CE marking. If necessary, customers can also have the most common quality certificates from us. Quality is an important theme for us. We want to make sure that the product ordered by the customer is flawless and therefore carry out quality work and follow-up continuously. You will find all the certificates in our material bank.

We take care of People

We maintain a work community where our employees feel well, safe, and comfortable at work. Ensuring competence is important, as a smoothly functioning work community guarantees job satisfaction, high customer satisfaction, reliability of delivery, and occupational safety.

We have made it as easy as possible to make safety observations, and everyone can follow the progress of corrective actions. Employees have the opportunity to contribute and make development suggestions. We are committed to the Zero Accidents vision and have been awarded the ISO 45001 certification.

Our personnel have access to comprehensive occupational health services, which, in addition to statutory preventive and work ability support activities, include extensive healthcare services. In addition to the insurance covering work hours, all our employees are also covered by a leisure-time accident insurance policy provided by Mäkelä Alu.

Concrete actions

The core of everything we do can be summed up in two words: taking care of planetary sustainability. Our key goals are to manufacture the world’s lowest-emission aluminum profile, either coated or uncoated, and to achieve carbon neutrality in our own production and internal logistics by 2025.

In our production, we utilize heat recovery and invest in electrification and replacing liquefied petroleum gas with other low-carbon energy systems. Since 2005, we have reduced our carbon dioxide emissions (from our gate to the customer’s gate) by 51% per ton of aluminum produced. The low emissions (2.01) from our recycled aluminum billets produced in our own foundry show that we have successfully optimized our processes and energy usage. The low emissions (5.67) of our primary aluminum indicate that we have succeeded in selecting the cleanest aluminum suppliers in the world, who mostly use hydropower in their production.
